Hi, just a quick post to let everyone know that there are still some lovely bears available from 75 artists at the Teddy Bear Extravaganza which has another day (roughly) to run.
Lots of bears have been adopted so far but there are still plenty to look at :)
It started off sunny here today but now we have gone back to rain. Of course, it waited until I had three loads of washing on the line and then down it came. Now, my washing is wetter than when I hung it out :)
In fact, it has turned into a perfect "bear making" day !!!
The Teddies Worldwide Bear Extravaganza is open now .....
I have spent the last hour and a half looking at some of the beautiful bears that are available from all around the World and I don't think I have seen even half of them yet. Here are all of the bears and animals I have been working on for the last couple of months.....
Maple found a new home first thing, thank you so much. If you would like to visit all the bears please click HERE or on the banner on the side bar..... take coffee, you'll be there a while :)
My bears and animals for the Teddies Worldwide are done... My show page is done...... My special order is done..... My Easter shopping is done.... My household food shopping is done....
My housework is not done, but today I don't care :)
Teddies Worldwide Bear Extravaganza starts tomorrow at 7am (ish) here in Australia or 4pm Friday New York Time. Voting closes for all the Viewers choice Awards about 4 hours before the show starts. If you haven't cast your vote yet you can click Here to have a squiz at all the lovely bears :)
I'll be back tomorrow with lots of photos of the bears and animals looking for new homes. Meanwhile here is Maple again :) because no blog post is complete without a picture !!
The Teddies Worldwide Show Preview is now open :) HERE
While you are looking at all the gorgeous bears don't forget to vote for your favourites.
My preview bear is Maple.
Maple is 15 inches (38cm) Made in a lovely tipped dark brown mohair which has been over dyed to make the light tips have an almost pinky tinge (not pink though) She has a needle felted face, nose and paws, leather eyelids and eye whites and claws. She also has an extra joint in her neck so she can pose in a variety of ways.
You can cast your votes until midnight March 21st (New York Time) and then the show itself opens on the 22nd of March at 4pm (New York Time) which I think is approx 8am Sat 23rd for those of us in Australia.
It's still raining here ( as it seems to have been for weeks) and my house is filled with wet laundry that is too heavy to put in the dryer - I never realised how many pairs of jeans my family wears LOL.......
Hi.... I meant to come back sooner but it has been a very big couple of weeks !
Right after the last post I went off to the Lawnton Doll and Bear Show. I met up with lots of lovely people, some bears found new homes and I was lucky enough to win Best Professional Animal, Best Professional Bear and Bear of Show.
After Lawnton Show, we left for Wagga Wagga, to watch our son Connors' Army March out Parade. We had a wonderful visit and watched the March Out sat in the stands full of lots of proud (and tearful) parents and yes, I was proud and tearful too LOL
On the way from Wagga Wagga to Sydney we took a quick detour and stopped at the "Dog on the Tuckerbox" on the road to Gundagai.
We had a night in Sydney to wait for the Sydney Teddy Bear fair that was held in Five Dock. I had another great day, and some bears found new homes. I got to spend the day talking bears to both Bear Collectors and Bear Artists which is always fun !!
I took photos of my table but I managed to make them all blurry so I haven't included them but here are some photos of some of the other traders :)
Lisa from Megelles with MerilynBearleigh Bears
There were more people than photographed including the lovely Valma from Teddys Bits, Nikkel Bears ,Karen Alderson and Almond Bears among others.
After the Bear Show we left Sydney and we thought we would stop off somewhere on the way home but instead Rob drove the whole way and 9 and a half hours later we were home.
Now, I have to finish the bears for the Teddies Worldwide On Line show - here is the link . The preview for this show starts in about a day and a half so please click on the link and place your votes :)
